Anna Osmushkina in New York

2006
An
award - winning highly creative designer from Latvia, presented her
Spring/Summer 2006 Couture collection entitled simply "Heaven". An
airy and ethereal colour palette took form in weightless designs in
the highest quality natural fabrics hand-woven using an original
technology. Handcrafted shawls and capes as well as embell-ishments
of Swaroski and Kornelius precious stones, ostrich feathers, and
natural furs give added dimension and luxury.
A team of dignitaries
including the speaker of the Latvian Parliament, special guest
buyers from Hong Kong as well as VIP clients from Riga attended the
debut in the United States of this gifted designer. Anna
Osmushkina's fashion design career began over 20 years ago. She
launched her own label in 1990 and her couture line in 1996 and her
collections have been presented at Milan's Fashion Week, as well as
in Paris, Dusseldorf, Moscow, and Riga. Hers is the first Baltic
fashion house to enter into licensing agreements for the
international market. Signature accessories and perfume lines are in
development.
