The evocative,
romantic atmosphere of the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris,
acts as the inspiring muse for the collection
presented by designer Anna Osmushkina dedicated
to spring/summer 08. Images of the Medici
fountain, students absorbed in their books,
young lovers deep in thought and small trees
lost in vast stretches of parkland are just some
of the visions that the stylist has cleverly
transformed into clothes. Going beyond
passionate aesthetic research to emphasise a
concept of freedom and freshness wrapped up and
presented in a characteristically carefree
French charm. Leading to the creation of
"Caramel", a series of structured silhouettes in
silk, linen and fine cottons sprayed with shades
of gold and silver. Caramel hues and floral
prints complete a collection of perfectly hung
clothes with a special, unique fit. Character is
added by an alternation of draping, embroidery,
ribbons and flounces with a haute couture bent.
The resulting ideas epitomise Ms.Osmushkina's
vision of a world ruled by women. In fact,
"Caramel" is based on the stylists female
interpretation, the image of a self-assured
woman with a carefully considered personal
style. A great many celebrities and jet set
members from all over the world have fallen
under her spell, and flock to the well-stocked
Anna Osmushkina boutique in Riga. Thanks to
presentations at leading fashion weeks,
including Milan and Paris, the collections
continue to gather prestige, further endorsing
the designer's accurate research work carried
out in the field of couture. A success story on
the Kuropean, Asian and USA markets backed by
over twenty years of hard work and commitment.
